In India, there is about
60-80 per cent of population wish to buy a home below Rs. 20-30 lakh as per
cities level which arises a dire need for affordable homes below the said
prices to be built for the lower segment of the society. Amrapali Group,
one of the leading realty entities highlights the affordable pricing policies
which are very crucial in real estate sector for catering to the needs of each
and every section of society.
Dr. Anil Kumar Sharma, CMD, Amrapali Group stated
the fact that less than 20 to 24 per cent people in our country are financially
more capable to buy houses above Rs. 35-40 lakh is the biggest impediment in
our country. Thus if affordable houses at a cost below Rs.25-30 lakh are made
available in different cities, around 75-80 per cent people can happily afford
them.
Mr. Nitin Gadkari, Central
Minister of Road Transport and Highways and Shipping also said that the
providing affordable house to the poorest of the poor is among the top agendas
of Mr. Narendra Modi’s government along with building smart cities in across
India. A house on a steel structure with 70 per cent fly ash has been
constructed as an experiment which will be inaugurated on February 20. The
cost of construction of the building amounted to Rs. 1000 per square
feet. Amrapali Group further highlighted that the government should not
only focus on making smart cities but also develop the existing cities
according to the modern-day requirements. Smart cities under PPP (public
private partnership) module should also be set up by the investors with the
land being offered by the government along with clearances in a transparent
manner.
